'Bosna Hersek' named foal which has been grown by General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises affiliated to Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was sold by auction in Istanbul Veliefendi Hippodrome for 560 thousand Turkish Liras. Total revenue of 17 million 274 thousand Turkish Liras was reobtained from foal sales made in 2019.
General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises is one of the most important centers of breeding for Purebred Arabian horses in the world and improves and rehabilitates running performance by protecting the treasure-valued gene resources inherited from the Ottomans without any deterioration in race character.
Within this scope, with a total of 32 head stallions and 376 head mares Purebred Arabian Horses are being bred in Bursa Karacabey, Eskişehir Anadolu and Malatya Sultansuyu agricultural enterprises connected to General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises.
Champion foals are bred from champion stallions and mares at General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises. Featuring champion stallions such as Özgünhan, Turbo, Ayabakan, Sonalp, Tamerinoğlu, Altaha, Ateştopu, Baba Mevlüt, General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises obtained successful foals such as Denizim, Ateşbibi, Taçser, Altıncıhis, Sürgüntay and Memduhağa from these stallions.

From the sale of 16 head double male purebred colts grown in Sultansuyu farming enterprise with an average price of 215 thousand TL, a total income of 3 million 445 thousand TL was obtained.
Finding the highest price in the highly competitive sales, the foal named 'Bosna Hersek' was bought by Fatih Çiftçi for 560 thousand Turkish Liras.
Elite foals named 'Kotku' with 340 thousand Turkish Liras and 'Gülbaba' with 330 thousand Turkish Liras followed Bosna Hersek.
